You’ve probably heard the old saying, “live every day as if it were your last.’ While it’s pretty good advice, it’s also a bit morbid.

That’s why I like this quote from 30 Rock. While meant to be funny, it’s actually even better advice than that old adage.

Live the week like there is something to be excited about. As if it’s something special, like a holiday or shark week on Discover Channel. When you’re excited and positive and looking forward to what the day will bring, anything can happen.

You don’t need something special to happen before you have a good week, because you can make it happen with a good attitude and a little planning.
